Jon ClarkJon ClarkJon Clark serves as President of the James S. Bower Foundation, a local grant maker focusing on early childhood education, end of life care, and the environment. He previously held leadership roles with Community Environmental Council, the Wendy P. McCaw Foundation, and has served on boards for several local organizations. Raised in Santa Barbara and an active leader in the community, Jon was named Man of the Year by the Santa Barbara Foundation in 2017. Sandy LoodSandy LoodSandra (Sandy) Lood is Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Cottage Health and a healthcare executive with more than 20 years of industry experience. She is recognized for her collaborative leadership, commitment to mentoring others, and passion for community service. Sandy holds degrees from National Louis University and Pepperdine University and is honored to serve on the Board of Trustees. Analise MaggioAnalise MaggioAnalise Maggio has a professional background in fundraising and business development, having received her bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara. She most recently co-founded a local nonprofit that delivers food to families in need. A mother of two, she serves on boards and committees for various organizations with a focus on supporting children. Chuck MerrillChuck MerrillChuck Merrill, MD is a Santa Maria physician and healthcare leader with more than four decades of experience serving local families. From his early work with a focus on pediatric trauma and emergency care, to developing residency programs in Family Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology at Marian, he has been committed to improving systems of care, advancing medical education, and strengthening community health. In addition to his medical leadership, Dr. Merrill has been actively involved in community service, youth athletics, and local philanthropy. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to ensuring children and families have access to high-quality, compassionate care. Candice MongeCandice MongeCandice Monge serves as Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Executive Officer for Marian Regional Medical Center (Arroyo Grande and Santa Maria campuses). Throughout her nursing career, she has held many leadership roles mainly with a focus on women’s and children’s health, and previously served as Division Chief Nursing Executive with oversight for five hospitals across the Central Coast. She enjoys spending time with her four children, cooking, and gardening. Glenn MorrisGlenn MorrisGlenn Morris is the President & CEO of Western Association of Chamber Executives. With professional experience in economic development, tourism, and business advocacy, he has also been involved in local and national organizations working on issues ranging from access to the arts, improvement of local schools, and youth leadership development. Glenn finds great joy in being a husband, father, and grandfather. Megan RheinschildMegan RheinschildMegan Rheinschild has worked at the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office in the Victim Witness Assistance Program for nearly three decades, overseeing comprehensive services, support and advocacy for victims of violent crime and their families. She also leads interagency collaborations with local, regional, and state partners to address human trafficking and sexual assault, and to meet the needs of survivors. She is a Governor’s Appointee as the Victim Representative for the California Interstate Commission for Adult and Juvenile Supervision and the Victim Representative for the National Interstate Commission for Juveniles. Safety, advocacy, and justice for children and families have been at the forefront of Megan’s career. Jenna RogersJenna RogersJenna Rogers, a Partner and Client Advisor at Mission Wealth, uses her financial expertise to empower individuals. She is a Certified Financial Planner with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from CSU Channel Islands, and a master’s degree in personal financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. She enjoys spending her weekends at the beach with her husband, son, and dog. Richard Russell Richard RussellRichard Russell was most recently the Vice President of Omnichannel Marketing at Deckers Brands. He las led digital marketing transformations and worked cross functionally to build leading edge, consumer-oriented teams. His three children keep him up to date on the latest in gaming, YouTube, and K-pop culture. Patrice RyanPatrice RyanPatrice Ryan has over 35 years of experience as a Human Resources executive in the acute care hospital sector. Before retiring as Vice President of Human Resources at Cottage Health, she helped the organization achieve national recognition for its Wellness programs and become one of Fortune’s Top Employers. In addition to other HR leadership roles, she has served on several local boards and was a founding member of the Santa Barbara Housing Trust Fund. She and her husband have two adult children. Luz Reyes-MartínLuz Reyes-MartínLuz Reyes-Martín, Goleta City Councilmember, serves as Vice President of Community Engagement at Planned Parenthood California Central Coast. Luz received her undergraduate degree in political science and Chicano/Chicana studies from Stanford, and master’s degrees in land use planning and public administration from USC. She has served in several leadership and volunteer positions and is raising two young children with her husband. Geoff StevensGeoff StevensGeoff Stevens has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, operations, and strategic leadership. He currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for FlexOffers, one of the world’s top five partner-marketing technology companies. He is also the founder of Kestrel Consultants, a boutique firm that provides strategic guidance to growth-stage startups and small businesses nationwide. A Santa Barbara resident, Stevens has been a longtime supporter of CALM and previously volunteered with the organization. His past community involvement also includes work with nonprofits serving the arts community, seniors, and LGBTQ+ youth. Phillip TabyananPhillip TabyananPhillip Tabyanan was born and raised in Goleta, CA. He studied international business and worked in the maritime transportation industry for twenty years, specializing in largescale project management and contract negotiations while pursuing his passion for real estate.In 2019, Phillip moved back home to Santa Barbara County with his family and now serves as the General Manager of PLUS Property Management, California Operations. Richard YaoRichard YaoRichard Yao, Ph.D. is president of DataPhilanthropy, the giving arm of the Jeff T. Green Family Foundation. He previously served as President of CSU Channel Islands, where he also held roles as Interim President and VP for Student Affairs. Earlier in his career, Dr. Yao worked extensively in clinical psychology, focusing on youth in the foster care system, forensic assessments for juvenile courts, and family services. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. Michael YoungMichael YoungMichael Young, Ph.D. served as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at UC Santa Barbara for 25 years before retiring in 2015. This work, along with several concurrent roles, involved a focus on promoting students' mental health and well-being. Dr. Young received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Iowa, his M.A. in history from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and his B.A. in history from Beloit College in Wisconsin. In 2012, Dr. Young received an honorary degree from his alma mater, Beloit College. Dr. Young, born and raised in Chicago, has been active in the Santa Barbara community for many years, serving on various nonprofit boards and other volunteer leadership positions. Zohar ZivZohar ZivZohar Ziv is a director, advisor, and investor with over 30 years of executive management experience across a diverse set of business environments. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from CSU Northridge and his M.B.A from the American Graduate School of International Management. He has held several leadership positions, co-founded various businesses, and served as a university director. Zohar was raised in Israel and lived in Asia for a short time before moving the United States, where he has settled in Santa Barbara with his wife, near his two adult children and their families.

Susan Miles GulbransenSusan Miles GulbransenSusan Miles Gulbransen carries on the family tradition of service to CALM that she learned from her mother, founder Claire Miles. She has served multiple stints on the Board of Trustees, including as Board Chair in the 1980s. Raised in Santa Barbara, Susan well remembers the origins of CALM with the black phone line her mother installed in the living room to support parents in the community. She is a writer and teacher, and was honored as Woman of the Year by the Santa Barbara Foundation in 2004 for her many community volunteer commitments. She enjoys traveling extensively, and spending time with her husband, daughters and their families. Anna KokotovicAnna KokotovicAnna Kokotovic, former Executive Director of CALM, is a licensed psychologist who has devoted her career to preventing and treating childhood trauma. Since retiring in 2008, she has served on several child-focused nonprofit and community boards, continuing her commitment to children in Santa Barbara County. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors in Idaho with her husband.Joanne RappJoanne RappJoanne Rapp grew up in Santa Barbara, and has committed her life to serving the community since. A consummate volunteer, she has served transformational roles on many nonprofit boards, and was honored as Woman of the Year by the Santa Barbara Foundation in 1998. Joanne and her husband are thankful to spend time with their three children and five grandchildren who all live in the area.

Whitney ManningWhitney ManningWhitney Manning joined CALM as the Director of Human Resources in January 2024. With more than a decade of experience aligning organizational mission with people strategies, Whitney is committed to fostering impactful, people-first programs that empower employees to do their best work. In joining CALM, she brings not only a wealth of experience but also a passion for creating positive and inclusive work environments. She is a certified HR Professional (SHRM-CP) and is recognized as a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council. She holds an MBA from Brandman University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has also earned a certificate in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion from the University of South Florida.Director of Human Resources

Yvonne Nelson, LCSWYvonne Nelson, LCSWYvonne Nelson is a bilingual and bicultural licensed clinical social worker who earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Cal Poly Humboldt in Decolonized Social Work. She has over 30 years of experience providing mental health services to women, children, and families in a variety of different settings. Yvonne is passionate about enhancing CALM’s excellent clinical work and developing programs that mitigate the impacts of toxic stress and enhance resilience for our families in Santa Barbara County.
