When did you begin working at CALM?

I started working for CALM in 2013.

What is your role at CALM?

My role at CALM is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist primarily providing parent-child therapy services and I am also a Child Forensic Interviewer for North Santa Barbara County.

Please share one of your best CALM experiences (a time you felt like you really made a difference).

I’ve made a difference many times providing therapy to kids and families but my role as a forensic interviewer has been one of the most impactful things I’ve done at CALM. I am honored every time a child shares information about their abuse, often for the first time. It is so satisfying to help take “bad guys” off the streets and hold them accountable for child abuse and to protect the community from perpetrators of abuse.

Finish the sentence, “If I could do one thing to make kids’ lives better, I would….”

If I could do one thing to make kids’ lives better I would make sure every child has someone who loves them unconditionally or at the very least, someone they trust to talk to.

What is one thing you wish people knew about CALM?

One thing I wish people knew about CALM is that we don’t only treat child abuse.
