CALM is seeking a talented and effective Senior Manager for Community Collaborations (SMCC). The SMCC is responsible for the overall direction, implementation, supervision and evaluation of CALM’s community-based programs and services throughout Santa Barbara County. The SMCC ensures that clinical services meet CALM’s quality standards, contract and grant requirements, and strategic plan.  As a member of the clinical leadership team, in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations (DCO), the SMCC actively manages all aspects of CALM’s partnerships with medical providers, such as the Pediatric Resiliency Collaborative (PeRC), ACEs Aware, Network of Care (NOC) and Cottage Health’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) project. In addition, the SMCC actively manages community collaborations with preschools, early care and education centers, and after school learning centers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In collaboration with DCO, determines department structure, staff positions, levels, schedules and workflow. Adjusts schedules and staffing levels to ensure that goals are met efficiently. Implements process changes when needed to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and performance of regional departments.
  • Responsible for ensuring successful day-to-day operations and delivery of clinical services in community-based settings. This includes staff scheduling, intake processes, referral tracking, caseload assignment, client engagement, timely documentation, productivity, client satisfaction, and clinical supervision.
  • Builds effective collaborations with relevant community partners. Works directly with medical, preschool and after school personnel, and serves as the primary liaison between CALM and these entities. Attends partner agency meetings, as needed.
  • Responsible for the on-going development and expansion of community-based programs throughout Santa Barbara County.
  • Ensures high clinical standards by keeping current in best practices for childhood trauma prevention, assessment treatment and mental health consultation services.
  • Ensures weekly individual and group supervision to licensed, unlicensed therapists and para-professional staff.
  • Provides oversight, mentoring and consultation to all staff as requested and required to meet program’s high standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, or licensed clinical psychologist, with a license for a minimum of two years. Must be able to clinically supervise.
  • 5 – 7 years of professional clinical experience with 3+ years of senior leadership experience.
  • 5 years or more of experience working with community partners and program development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a passion for CALM’s mission and the ability to convey that passion to others.
  • Strong computer knowledge, using PC, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Public speaking skills and ability to network within the community.
  • Must be flexible and able to collaborate with others.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a contributing member of the leadership team.
  • Must have respect for confidentiality; ability to work with discretion and integrity.
  • Must have valid CA drivers’ license, clean DMV, reliable transportation, and criminal record clearance from DOJ.
  • Ability to travel throughout Santa Barbara County.
  • Ability to interact with all ages and cultural backgrounds.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
