I began working at CALM May of 2017.
I am the Santa Barbara Receptionist and Volunteer Coordinator.
During my time here at CALM, I really enjoyed our staff retreat at the Santa Barbara Zoo. It was really nice to sit with other team members from other cities in the County and have a day to enjoy for ourselves as well as talk about all the great things that CALM does and impact it has with kids and families who are able to heal and to thrive.
If I could do one thing to make kids’ lives better I would want to be able to provide resources for after school activities to families that cannot afford it due to the their circumstances. It would be a great opportunity for the child and parent/s to spend time together.
I wish people knew that CALM’s mission is not just helping those who have gone through childhood trauma, but also to help with the prevention of trauma . CALM works in the schools, in clinics, and we are so involved in our community to help those in need. In fact, we want to help parents , young children, and teens have a healthy life where all our children can thrive and have a positive relationship at home, work, school and with their friends.
